TOA Kickboxing Coach

I started training in Muay Thai at around 30yrs old and continued for around 4yrs until I had a mountain bike accident, I had talked to my wife about passing on my teachings to the local kids in Cooks Beach, so we made some phone calls and got some support, and we were able to get Cooks Beach Thai Boxing up and running. The club was in its 3rd year with steady numbers of students flowing, more of the youth were travelling over from Whitianga, it made sense to have a club there so when the opportunity arose for me to join the coaching staff at T.M.A, I was happy as it would work better for my students to have a purpose built facility to train in and not have to travel far, starting my own club up was about giving the youth a taste of Muay Thai Kickboxing and I am looking forward to growing the number of kids who participate in the sport for all the benefits it brings.

Born and bred in Whitianga, I’ll probably be here till my time is up, I love the outdoors, free diving, surfing, mountain biking (just no jumps!) and duck shooting.

Fave Food: Anything cooked on the Weber.
